Hi there! My name is Cristina Argüelles, and I am a graduate student at Louisiana State University studying interior design. I recently graduated with my Bachelors in Interior Design with exposure to construction management. My work is guided by the principles of sustainable materials, biophilic design, and net-zero strategies, ensuring that interior environments promote both ecological balance and human flourishing.
Through research and practice, I explore how design can enhance air quality, natural lighting, and thermal comfort while minimizing environmental impact. My academic background in interior design and construction management has shaped my commitment to creating spaces that go beyond aesthetics, prioritizing environmental responsibility, resilience, and, most importantly, occupant health and well-being.
I believe that the future of design lies in regenerative systems that restore and enrich both the environment and the people who inhabit it. My goal is to contribute to projects that not only reduce carbon footprints but also foster healthier, more connected communities where individuals can thrive.
